The Fine-Tuning Argument
#21
RE: The Fine-Tuning Argument
Not just immune system. Large sections of our DNA is believed to be the remnants of virus DNA inserted into cells of our evolutionary ancestors during infections. These DNA segments adds variation and facilitates evolutionary adaptation and now form integral parts of our genome.

The fact that we reproduce sexually is thought to have been an evolutionary adaptation to reduce population vulnerability to virus or bacterial infection.

We coevolved with bacteria and virus at a much more fundamental level than most people realizes.

RE: The Fine-Tuning Argument
The existence of life in a universe, that supports it, is not a miracle and therefore no God is required.

The existence of life in a universe, that did not support it, would be a miracle and require a God.

Obviously I am simplifying a bit.....
