Blind faith and evolution
RE: Blind faith and evolution
Apart from my sixth sense, I don't need a sixth sense to know what you mean. I'm using my Blackberry for all this. Interestingly, I don't seem to have much trouble, at least as you describe it. What 'phone are you using, may I ask?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

It would indeed be disingenuous if I edited my post after being called on it. I knew what you were talking about but since I removed the offending and admittedly indefensible part of my post immediately after submitting it, my question to you as to where I said it remained valid.

I'm using android.

Yes your post no longer contained the objectionable part. That wasn't my fault though, and your rebuttal wasn't then factual. You put me down with two statements that were incorrect.

Of course it was factual; the offending part no longer exists and had been that way since before you objected (and the timestamps will bear this out). I could have been less obtuse about it, I admit freely. Maybe if I weren't so busy dodging brickbats from left and right I might have felt more obliging? Wink

No stimbo. I was responding to your post before you edited it. This is proven by you admitting that you changed it. I saved my post before you saved your amendment. Your logic is flawed. *gag* Wink

I've found Apple products to be more user-friendly on apps for sites like these. Android just doesn't know how to steal technology and make it better the way Apple does.

lol format wars! it makes no difference what platform you use, multi taking on a 4" screen and trying to cut and paste quotes is pretty difficult.

Indeed it is.

Check the timestamps. I submitted my post, thought about it, realised I'd made a silly and egregious assertion that cannot be defended, so removed it. There were no replies after I resubmitted it, thus I had no idea that you were replying to my original draft at that time. I have since recanted that original assertion publicly and no longer stand by it, effective the instant I removed it. If you want to accuse me of abusing my position here or whatever way you might see it, please do so. As I will keep saying until I get this into the Hall of Wit and Epicness (hint, hint): I have no problem being hanged for my words, but I will be damned if I hang for yours. And to that I'll add that I wil also be damned if I hang for words I never said or no longer support.

stimbo,

You said : "Where do I say that Staff members are exempt from forum rules?"

I simply pointed out that you'd edited the post since I made that comment. Which you then confirmed as true.

You edited the post and saved it whilst I was replying. I couldn't refresh the page in the middle of replying, otherwise I would lose what I'd written.

You don't seem to be able to accept the fact that your comment (above) was dishonest. Maybe it would have been better to say: I retracted that post because it was incorrect _in the first place_, rather than forcing me to chase you for the truth.

That's why I call your first reply (above) disingenuous, and I still think it was. You don't have to hang for your words, quit with the melodrama.
