What you want is to dictate terms for a one way discussion with people who agree with you.

The terms of debate have been clear since ever since mankind started arguing:

an argument - is followed by a counterargument - which is then followed by another counter - which is repeated until one proves right or a compromise is found

Regarding the Zimmerman / Martin incident it would really be interesting to read what you and some these others think happened that night. I mean the facts of that case were brought out. Zimmerman was found not guilty. Black people experience racism. White people also experience racism (albeit on a less regular basis, at least in the US). So do all the other races in one form or another, in some culture out there. However, fixating on race is not the way to solve race issues. I mean, race is already an arbitrary concept. We need to realize that we're all human and we should all love each other (just my opinion). All this thread does is contribute to the us vs. them mentality. The difference between you and the dark-skinned fellow next to you is that your ancestors developed in different climates where one needed more vitamin D and one needed less.

No, I think it raises valid points. Right now, it's almost seen as shameful to suggest that a white person can experience racism. Certainly the media portrays racism as a strictly one way thing. Without bringing up this point, the media and society will fixate on this 'one way' racism. Truth is people need to accept that racism can be displayed by everyone in some form or another, not just whites against non-whites.

It's funny, how no one seems to take this stance that just by mentioning racism it somehow contributes to racism or use this argument when we are discussing non-white people being the victims of such racism.

The keywords are "jokes" and "comedy". When someone tells a joke, they aren't being serious; they are trying to make their audience laugh. If a racist tells a racist joke because they think it is an accurate portrayal, they are very wrong. If some tells the same joke because, fuck it, it's a funny joke about stereotypes, I have no problem with it.

Of course "reverse-racism" exists. Why the hell wouldn't it? Racism between all races exists. However, you're going to tell me it's as prominent and as serious as racism from whites to blacks? Hell no. I know this because 15 pages later nobody has been able to provide any evidence in support of the statement that racism against caucasians is as serious as racism against blacks. I feel like it's a waste of time to try to even oppose this point of view because it seems so obviously wrong. I don't even know where to begin.

I am 41 years old. From ages 20 to 37, I lived in 5 different states. 3 of those states are considered part of the South. And never in all my life did I enjoy myself more than when I lived in those states (to my suprise). Some of the kindest people I ever met I met when I lived in the South, and some of them I remain in contact with today, while I live here in New York with all the assholes (not meaning to offend anybody with that, I was born in New York). But TGAC is working off the stereotype of the Southerner. The South is not as racist as it's supposed to be, the South is not as intolerant as it's supposed to be. In fact, the worst state I lived in was Illinois. There are sections of Illinois that have the most disgustingly racist sons of bitches I've ever laid my eyes on. The South has certainly changed itself, and the average Southerner should not be held responsible for the South's past nor should he/she be held responsible for the modern Southern stereotype. TGAC, your "research" apparently didn't dig any deeper than your sketchy knowledge about the American Civil War and the 1950s. So kindly step off of the particular subject.

Now, that being said, TGAC, outside all of his ignorance, has a point. Like I stated, there is no serious "reverse-racism" threat that I can tell. No reason for "whites to wake up". There's nothing to wake up to. Everybody should acknowledge that racism against whites exists, but there's no reason to believe it's as serious of an issue as the OP claims.
