I had always been a runner, even as a child, so I don't remember a time when I didn't have it. It was a matter of pushing through that wall of "I can't go anymore" rather than a specific distance or speed, and that changed based on temperature, terrain, and hormonal cycle for me. I'd say if I could keep a good speed for at least 5 miles, I'd pretty much always feel it.

I absolutely love running. I started 5 months ago, and last week I finished my first 21k (not an official race, just felt like running it.) I'm on my school's track team, for a long-distance event, hopefully. Running has done so much for me, and it's fun. Makes me feel like i'm good at something.
I made an interesting discovery last night: if you want motivation to run, run at night on unlit paths and roads without streetlamps or sidewalks.

I cannot beleive there is another muppet poster on here, but I can share the spotlight. I think it would be fun if we all shared what shoes we are training in and racing in... TRAINING: Saucony Hurricane 14 and 12. I like the 12 better. RACING: Saucony Kinvara and Kinvara 2. I have a ton of racing shoes (I have trouble passing up a cool pair of racers) but these are the two I am using at the moment. RE: Running

I've been keeping up with my running -- I'm planning (hoping) ...ok wishing...to run a 1/2 marathon next year. That's the goal.

I wish I could wear Nike because they are really affordable in Oregon (being based here), but they are never tight enough in the mid-foot for me. I do have a few of their racing flats though.
