It may be possible that I post provocative threads to expose christians on certain levels. Notice here, how the central issue (christian hypocrisy) was skewed (by "ronedee") toward racism. I think racism is when one chooses to act or say something *because* of someone's racial features. The OP was simply stating an objective fact of the past: that that conversation took place. What *is* racist though is ronedee implying that if you say that in "the hood", you'll get beat up. You're not reporting anything objective ronedee, but rather directly referring to a stereotype that says because they're black, they're going to beat you up for saying stuff like in the OP. Your statement was directly formulated by these hypothetical people's racial feature, and that's racist.

Yesterday morning, Sunday, August 18, 2013, while I was standing in line at a local coffee shop, I overheard the following loud conversation between two very colorful characters: I’m using the names these two gave to one another to represent their identity - it may shed additional light upon the context of the matter.

TYRONE: “Say nigga, I know you.”
CECIL: “Yeah, motherfucker, I know you from somewhere too.”
TYRONE: “Shit nigga, what you been up to?”
CECIL: “Oh you know, you know…”
TYRONE: “I show does nigga. How yo mama be?”
CECIL: “Shit motherfucker my mama been givin me troubles - crazy bitch.”
TYRONE: “Hell yeahs. I feels you dawg.”
CECIL: “Say, where I know you from motherfucker?”
TYRONE: “Aww shit nigga, I aint’ fo show.”
CECIL: “Whoa, hold up - I know from where. Brother I seen you at church.”
TRYONE: “Oh yes. Of course, now I recognize you. How is your mom?”
CECIL: “Thanks for asking; my mom is a blessing, yo. She’s doing good, good.”
TYRONE: “Good seein you brother.”
CECIL: “Yes, you too. Blessings brother.”
TYRONE: “Blessings.”

Not even fifteen minutes after this happened, I overheard another two loud characters giving some christian love to one another. These two (ladies) never gave their names.

Female #1: “Dam gurl, yo shoes be lookin dumb wit dat dress.”
Female #2: “Yeah, but I aint got my man cheatin on me like you does nigga.”
Female #1: “Gurl I otta slap dat smirk off your ugly dam face along wit dem dumb ass shoes.”
Female #2: “You aint shit nigga. You jus mad cuz I been wit yo man”
Female #1: “Bitch, don’t be talkin bout my man.”
Female #2: “Shut up now. We’s getting ready to head to the church.”
Female #1: “Do you really think the lord would approve of those ugly ass shoes?”
Female #2: “Gurl, you crazy, and yo cheatin husband be goin to hell.”


These two events actually took place. I have quoted them nearly verbatim, and I am making no racist comments. I am merely reporting on the christians in my town. Maybe it's time to relocate?
