This is something I've seen in other forums, like PHPBB:
- A warning message when you hit the "post reply" button and have a few unread posts on that same thread. Something saying "You have unread messages. Do you still wish to post this message?", or something...
I get the feeling a lot of posts get ignored because people write their posts while others post things.... and then the writers miss what happened between the time that they started writing and when they actually post.
