What is interesting about this thread? It starts with whining and turns into unapologetic sweeping generalizations.

Well now I'm not sure what you're here to do anymore. You start off saying you're in therapy for what you call your misogyny. You describe this as a problem that is in the way of your getting your life together.

I'll start the thread and then elaborate a bit later. So basically I am a misogynist. I'm in therapy for this. I had an absolutely terrible upbringing, which is the cause of my condition. If I were to describe purely the way I feel about women, in a nutshell, I don't trust them, I resent them, and I absolutely detest having to be in an all female environment. It really makes my skin crawl. I have a major problem and I know this, and I want to get my life together which is why talking about it is something that I want and need to do. I'm going to be saying things that will be very distasteful but I hope you can understand.

But lately you seem to be defending what you started out wanting to change.

Stupid people will of course think that those who talk about stereotypes are actually saying that everyone in that group adheres to the stereotype, but it only takes a little bit of intelligence to see that one is merely pointing out a tendency among that group.

We all know that women are generally bitchy, gossipy, insecure, overemotional backstabbers. There's nothing to be afraid of by talking about it. No one is saying that they're all like that, but what I'm saying is that those traits are very common among women.

I also notice that the feminists are very conspicuous by their absence. I wonder why.

So I'm having trouble deciding if you're some angry-to-the-point-of-going-crazy guy that got dumped by his first love -or- simply a self-loathing, overly intellectual person who has no grasp on her own feelings. In either case it isn't hard to understand why feminists wouldn't take you seriously. Your problems are personal. No one needs to become embroiled in your rant to stick up for women because no woman (with the possible exception of yourself if you truly are a woman) is threatened by the way the world seems to you. What you so glibly say we all know is just you intellectualizing either your anger (dude) or your self-loathing (bitch).

So tell me again, why are you here and what were you hoping to get out of this?

While still not getting the "act like a christian" answer.
