Now, who doesn't believe that Jesus has come in the flesh? I can see you thinking about it, raise your hand when you have the answer... Yes, that's right! Unbelievers don't believe that! Good job! Gold star!
Isn't it just amazing how the bible needs to be "interpreted in the proper context" in some places, but in others it needs to be read as singular words? 
Oh, and by the way? I did read the rest of the passage too: it applies equally to anyone not subscribing to biblical teachings. Like atheists! Amazing what a little reading can do.

Most commentators think the reference was against gnostic Christians, hence "in the flesh," as they thought Jesus was a purely spiritual being.

You equated unbelievers with deceivers without knowing anything about the verse in question.
