Well keep us updated.
On the new job front, 2.5 months into this new job and they've left me in charge of quality for both the blocks and heads lines here for the 2.4L Ecotec engine.
He he.

There are a few of us at fairly new jobs, eh? I think SnakeOil just landed one too!
This Monday, they are letting me loose to run the lab by my lonesome, despite almost blowing the place up a few days ago. Baaahaha
Also, my daughter an I just discovered Child of Light by Ubisoft. What a brilliant game! The art alone is jaw dropping, but the battle system is the real meat. The story revolves around a father and daughter getting separated after the daughter is assumed dead, but only slips into a dream world. That's all I know so far. But it's a great game for any of you dads with daughters out there. (I'm pretty sure that leaves only me. Am I the only one that didn't eat my own baby?)
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

My problem is this job was supposed to be a step back for me so I could focus on school. I don't know how to step back, apparently...

Haha Oh, the burden of a brilliant mind. What are you going to school for? I thought you were all learnt up.

I am learnt up, but I don't want a career in aeronautics. No passion there any more. I wanted to be a pilot since I was 6 years old and my dad took me on the USS Forrestal, and I got to see the planes catapulted off and land. I actually got to sit in the captain's chair and "con" the ship for a bit.
I was literally the top of my class at the Academy for the ASTB (Aviation Selection Test Battery), and was a sure selection for Navy or Marine Air. My 5 year plan was to go to Test Pilot School and be a test pilot/engineer.
But I had 7 knee surgeries in college and impact scoliosis from football. And I was medically disqualified from being a pilot. So I was a senior, already in the major, and it was too late to change. I passed the FE exam, and am a licensed engineer. But being in the field is too shitty, emotionally.
I did discover when coding for MATLAB projects as an undergrad that I absolutely love to use my brain in that way. Figuring out a solution to a problem using logic and language is awesome. So I am going back to school for a second bachelors in Computer Science for Professional Applications. I want to develop software and apps.

Importing DVD number 171 of 1000+ into iTunes. LONG way to go!
