What's everyone up to right now?

Thank you! I'm taking gen chem 101, never took chem before, even in high school. So I'm super proud of that chem score! And I'm taking "Principles of Biology" which is bio 101 for science majors, as opposed to general bio for non-science majors. I've taken some random summer courses the past few years, but this is my first "full" or "real" semester (can't do a full 12 hours because I still have to pick up the kids) Still don't know what exactly I'm gonna do, but good grades help with the number of options. I'll figure it out as I go along.

Well folks, I actually did it ... I found a way to broach the subject to Shell without automatically raising her shields. I can't believe how calm I was and how reasonably she listened, although it's testament to how open we are with each other. Also we've spoken before about this, though the situation is vastly different now to then.

All I can say for now is it wasn't the best response I could have hoped for, but it certainly wasn't the worst one I was fearing. We are going to talk more about it later, after she gets back from visiting friends, or tomorrow more likely. So negotiations are still continuing. I'm so glad I did my homework beforehand. Thanks to everyone here for getting me even this far. I definitely couldn't have done it on my own.

I'm glad you were able to do it, Stimbo. At a minimum, you made your feelings known and you won't have that regret hanging over you. I hope for the best for you.

life's good, school started and doing my final year in uni, really like it so far, all the classes I have I really love, I no longer have to do prerequisite courses to get to courses I like. Had free food today, apparently a clever trap by a Christian group to try and convert some uni kids (we flock to free food events like we've been starving for weeks). I didn't really tear anyone up because I really wanted the free food, but the girl who tried converting me (or reconverting) got uncomfortable when I asked her to define god and handed me brochures and went off. From the general atmosphere they weren't having any luck with the students though, apparently people aren't really religious in my school.
