What's everyone up to right now?

Well folks, I actually did it ... I found a way to broach the subject to Shell without automatically raising her shields. I can't believe how calm I was and how reasonably she listened, although it's testament to how open we are with each other. Also we've spoken before about this, though the situation is vastly different now to then.
All I can say for now is it wasn't the best response I could have hoped for, but it certainly wasn't the worst one I was fearing. We are going to talk more about it later, after she gets back from visiting friends, or tomorrow more likely. So negotiations are still continuing. I'm so glad I did my homework beforehand. Thanks to everyone here for getting me even this far. I definitely couldn't have done it on my own.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

At a minimum, you made your feelings known and you won't have that regret hanging over you. I hope for the best for you. Enjoying a cup of silver needles white tea and listening to a thick slab of jpop. ![]()
Enjoying a freshly tapped barleywine at the pub.
life's good, school started and doing my final year in uni, really like it so far, all the classes I have I really love, I no longer have to do prerequisite courses to get to courses I like. Had free food today, apparently a clever trap by a Christian group to try and convert some uni kids (we flock to free food events like we've been starving for weeks). I didn't really tear anyone up because I really wanted the free food, but the girl who tried converting me (or reconverting) got uncomfortable when I asked her to define god and handed me brochures and went off. From the general atmosphere they weren't having any luck with the students though, apparently people aren't really religious in my school.
Still at the pub - enjoying chips and curry, steak and mushroom pie, and roast chicken and root veggies. Along with a porter, of course.
Hope the porter's enjoying it as well. What's his name?

Memory is a palace through which ghosts freely roam and in which there are no locks on any of the doors. ![]() RE: What's everyone up to right now?
