Quite a drag around here. The missus had surgery on her back Thursday. Has been on heavy pain meds since with two trips to the emergency room Friday and Sunday. I - hate - the - emergency - room. Lia is a great wife and friend but what a princess. I tell myself that the drugs are warping her mind. At the emergency room Sunday, when asked her most recent temperature reading, she told the doctor in a groggy voice 2000. When asked a second time, she repeated the same in an annoyed voice. Ugh.

School in the am, straight to work in the pm. 15 hour days. But I have a lot of down time at work, so I can do homework and study and be sleepy.
Be super cautious with the pain meds. Narcotics like Dilaudid have a tendency to create dependency, where getting off of them is extremely difficult and where the brain will manufacture back pain to get more. Not fun, and a large reason why pill addiction is so pervasive today.

I think I'm in the midst of my 3rd UTI in 6 weeks. Or, more precisely, it's likely the same infection and the antibiotics haven't killed it yet. I was on antibiotics for 10 days last time, and spent about half that time on the toilet. Needless to say, I'm not really looking forward to the next batch.
One of those "being permanently physically disabled from birth sucks" moments.

Watching the Columbian version of Breaking Bad with subtitles. It's on Netflix. Called "Metastasis" it's done by the same guy, Vince Gillian. I'm digging it. It's all the same. The lead character is Walter Blanco. :-)
