I live in Southern California, and regardless of whether or not I was in college in NY at the time (I was), I'd still feel the need to make some gesture on 9/11.

One of my ambitions, which I achieved about six years ago, was to go to Ground Zero and pay my respects to the victims. Even in Australia 9/11 affected a 16 year old girl.

We're starting fall weather this week. Just 82 F BRRRR!
Whether the weather be cold Or whether the weather be hot We will weather the weather Whatever the weather Whether we like it or not
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I want to see it too, Ground Zero, but I need to overcome my phobia of skyscrapers before I go anywhere near New York tbh.
It's a shame because I'm dying to go I think 9/11 is one of those moments that you'll always remember where you were when you heard about it, and how you heard. It was just so shocking and scary, especially if (like me) you were a child who didn't fully understand what was going on. I actually think 9/11 played a big part in bringing on my phobia of tall buildings, as I don't remember feeling it before then.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie

Oh, for fucks sake, we're going to top out at 84. Fun times.
