Seriously though, we'll get to Portugal, and Spain,  just not in 2016.  We won't be bringing any pretty girls though.  The younger will be in college starting fall of 2017 and we'll take advantage of that to do our traveling in the spring and fall instead of the summer.

But they are such pretty trains. . . We might spend a day in Munich or Cologne due to the spiffy night train between the two.  But Germany is a spendy place for a traveling family of four, especially since the husband is against rental cars in Europe.  Four is about the break point where renting gets cheaper.
