RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Facebook is how I connect with family. But it gets weird at times. Twitter is how I connect with the soccer world that I hold dear. I've been part of weekly chats with tweetchat (?) that have had players, GMs and coaches from the high ranks join in. But Twitter is full of know-it-alls and popular types that know it. Selfies can be a good thing, but can be overdone.

Ain't so lame when it lets you reconnect with people you have been searching for the past 25 years.

Well, I learned the hard way.
There were people in school with whom I had been friends, and I did reconnect with them. Then I realized that so much time had passed, that I should not have contacted them whatsoever.

That's the beauty of social media. The pseudo-anonymity of an online avatar gives people the ability to do things they normally wouldn't do.
It has its other edge (trolls), but this phenomena has allowed me to connect with childhood next door neighbors and elementary school friends in a very tangential way that I love.

I've used this picture before, haven't I? I'm sure I have.
I know you're fond of changing your avatar frequently, but I implore you to leave this one. Beautiful!

There's that. The funny thing is, by outward appearances, they haven't changed much, which is what I had hoped for.

Yeah, people do not change. Which is why arranged marriages are bad. What if you're stuck with an idiot?

What if the idiot is convinced you're the idiot (and his/her parents agree)?

By what logic are you making this statement?
