I've always liked (some) anime as an adult, I never watched it as a kid though. I refused to watch pokemon for the same reason I refused to read Harry Potter: Everyone else loved it and talked about it so much that it put me off it.

I didn't really get into pokemon/pocket monsters but i really liked HP.The thought about a fantasy world and the rules that govern it is very alluring to me.

There are many genres in anime, i like the more adult oriented ones like Monster, Berzerk and Redline.Death Note was also quite good but the ending was lacking.

Horror and sci-fi are my favorites so far but i' have been venturing into other genres a bit.I've also found manga and light novels to be more in depth compared to most anime.

I haven't read Manga but then the only comics I've ever read are The Wolverine Saga.
