Holding a warm compress to my face and waiting for a doctor's appointment.

Our resident medical people might find this interesting. I've had recurring left-side-only parotitis (swelling of my parotid gland) for pretty much my entire life. It happened at least annually when I was younger than 7 or 8 but has only happened a couple times since my teens. Essentially, my parotid gland (the big salivary gland that sits on your jaw, under your ear) has, like, totes too narrow ducts or something, and it gets infected really easily. It gives me a fever and is extremely painful (like, a touch with no pressure hurts a lot, and chewing/talking is uncomfortable). So I'm'a go in and have a doctor poke around at my cheek for a while and be like "yep. them's bacterias." and give me something to get rid of the li'l guys.

Had my first frustration with a client today! Yay!

Been given this project as my first official task that's all my own. At no point did the client specify what he had in mind for the website and said we were the experts, blah blah blah. I email him the first preview, and all of a sudden he knows exactly what he wants and shows me what he wants it to look like. So now a solid week of work must be heavily retooled to look more like a relic from the early 00's.
