I went to a disco tonight. It was at my little girl's school, for grade prep to grade fours only.
She's been very excited and talking about it all week. Picked out the clothes she was going to wear three days ago.
So we get there and all the kids are dancing and having a great time.
My girl froze up. I know she wanted to dance so badly but she was just too shy.
She clung to me all night. She even cried towards the end.
It broke my heart. I feel so bad for her. :-(

Any chance you could have gone out dancing with her, to break the pressure.

(because there's no dancing turtle) Such a relief and a load off the mind!
Emma was the perfect hostess, and even though kids often annoy us, the two that were here behaved well and were sweet! I actually enjoyed seeing them, along with everyone else.
