My six-year-old is hungry and cranky but he's refusing to eat breakfast. Out of stubborn crankiness. Hubby is threatening him with hugs and chasing him around the house, and the kid is smiling despite his best efforts to frown. In a few minutes his stubborn refusal to eat will end and he'll ask for breakfast.

And I have to go out too. Too hot to wear a coat, raining too hard not to wear a coat, no umbrella because I don't want to get fried. I hate this country.
