Trying to figure out where the hell my Kindle got to. Haven't had time to use it recently, and I can find the charging cord for it... don't recall that I left the house with it at all. Best guess is it has slipped down into some hidey hole around my bed or my sofa... but it's hiding very well, because I've torn those areas apart and I still haven't found it!! Grrr!!!

What's everyone up to right now?

Today has been great and is getting better. I needed this. I have laughed so much today and this is so not the normal way my days happen.
Meetups are awesome!
Pointing around: "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you, I'm out!"
Half Baked "Let the atheists come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom of heathens belongs to people like these." -Saint Bacon Just finished watching the original Swedish movie for which the American movie, Let Me In, was a remake (which I watched yesterday). Still not up to watching Iron Man 3 yet, so I'll keep the rental a second night. In the meantime, I think I'll watch some episodes of Archer and the live-action version of The Tick. ![]()
Taking my son to a Doctor Who themed fish and chip shop.

Can you punch whoever put "Beef Shepherd's Pie" on the menu for me please? Unless Shepherds now herd cows, that should say "Cottage Pie" (October 5, 2013 at 8:15 pm)NoraBrimstone Wrote:(October 5, 2013 at 8:13 pm)Cthulhu Dreaming Wrote: They do in fact do fish fingers and custard.Yeah, I already googled it and saw the menu. Yeah, already noted that. The guy that runs the place knows better (being a Brit), but most Americans don't, and lamb is pretty expensive here.
For a "British" place, there's very little British food on the menu. Probably a good thing. lol

Probably a good thing. lol Well yeah, its mostly fish and chips, which I suppose is British enough. The fish is really quite good - much better than how most places do it here (e.g. thick batter an greasy, ugh). I'm afraid some British fare wouldn't go over so well here, so most "British" places stick to fish and chips, faux shepherds pie, pasty, bangers and mash and the like. |
