I have weird recollections of programming in HTML 1.0. All the cool college kids had webpages of their own on Angelfire or Geocities (I liked AF). It was all about who had the coolest hyperlinks or smilies.

Dude, remember web rings? You weren't 1337 until you had a site in a web ring.

Ummm.... We need to see this selfie.

Sort of proto social media... Gawd I remember getting free pr0n as a 13 year old on webrings.

I also wasn't 100% sure that the internet wasn't like a phone bill where it listed all the sites you went to. My adolescent brain was ready to cross that bridge if it ever came up, though.

Ahhh, memories.

I didn't look at much pr0n because we only had the family computer, on the side of the dining room mind you, and I was afraid of viruses.

Making up for it now, though! Big Grin

Gawsh, now I feel like making an Angelfire site just to see if I can recreate that old school nerdiness. But t he templates they offer are so bloggy now (plus, I was all about coding on my own. I lived for HTML tags).

It would cause nightmares in children who are even older than I look without facial hair
