Feeling pumped. Just got back from a two+ hour hike having completed the longest hike I've done in a couple years. A long walk for me usually starts in the bottom of a canyon, goes out along the stream, up a series of switch backs to a lovely trail called French which winds under redwoods, laurels and oaks before heading down through madrone and toyon. This time I stayed on the trail of switchbacks all the way to the top, along the ridge trail to the next, further out trial that descends to the bottom of the canyon but only as far as French. Got to see trails I haven't seen in years.
My frigging knee is amazing. Three long walks in a row with nary a whimper from it. I'm icing it now just in case but have no swelling or pain at all. I am so grateful to the years of evolution which made it possible for my hyper extended knee to repair itself. Gawd knows Kaiser didn't help. Maybe I should light a candle for Darwin or something.

Looking forward to a whopping 4 1/2 hours of sleep, followed by 1 hour of driving, 8 hours of work and another hour of driving. Gaaaah!
