Me and my friend were watching it in some dodgy way online and just thought the website had crashed or something.
I actually think the way they did what they did without it being graphic and being a bit different to what you'd expect was pretty good. And I loved the song they used.
Ah, you saying that I think it's now clicked what that end was about... far from being an open end it was a very final end? If so, then I guess it's a better end and would tie up some loose ends... thanks for that
Haha I thought you already knew. When my friend told me I had the reaction of "What the f......oh yeh I guess that was pretty clever."
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Hehe nah... I just thought it was an open end between the usual two possibilities... even though that didn't quite make sense given the context... but didn't even think of the third, which makes perfect sense I love a good, clever ending but not too clever. I think the most memorable for me is Silent Hill. That's my favourite horror film of all time, and I think the end - and its premise throughout the film - gave it an extra layer of thought-provoking meaning.
Just finished wrapping presents and am now consuming a fresh ham, tom and avo sandwich.
The tomato is the first off my new bush and the avocado is from my brother's tree.
So delicious.

Please tell me you've played at least one of the Silent Hill games

Nope, never I did know it was based on a game though.

I find horror games rather dull.
I prefer horror movies. For games I prefer Fantasy, Sci Fi or Historical.
I've never played those sorts of games at all really... the closest I've got to a first person shooter was Goldeneye 64. Back when I did use consoles it was either racing games like F Zero X on the N64, long gone scrolling beat-em-ups like Streets of Rage on the Megadrive, puzzle games like Professor Layton on the DS, and strategy games... Civilization and Starcraft on the PC. But onwards from the N64/DS I haven't had a console, and I hardly play any games at all any more.
Well Streets of Rage, Civilization and Starcraft are all some of the best games ever made so I don't blame you.
Although I could never get into Civilization myself because I prefer RTS (but I call tell Civilization is nevertheless a masterpiece).
This is why I love Rise of Nations to fuck. An RTS created by Sid Meier who did Civilization. I think it's as good as Age of Empires 3!
Although Age of Empires 2 defeats everything to me.
The 3RD NEW EXPANSION PACK FOR THE HD EDITION of Age of Empires 2 was released JUST A FEW DAYS AGO. And the original AoE2 is from 1999.... So.... almost 18 years old.
Game is still being patched too. Here's the trailer to the brand new OFFICIAL expansion (I don't own it yet):
So this is the list of the original 13 civilizations in the original Age of Empires 2, the Age of Kings originally released all the way back in 1999:
Britons
Byzantines
Celts
Chinese
Franks
Goths
Japanese
Mongols
Persians
Saracens
Teutons
Turks
Vikings
Then in 2000 The Conquerors expansion came out and introduced these 5 Civilizations:
Aztecs
Mayans
Spanish
Koreans
Huns
13 years later, in 2013, Age of Empires 2 HD came out on Steam.
In November that year the brand new official expansion The Forgotten came out introducing the following 5 new Civilizations:
Italians
Indians
Slavs
Magyars
Incas
In 2015 another brand new official expansion called The African Kingoms came out. That introduced the following 4 Civilzations:
Berbers
Ethiopians
Malians
Portuguese
Finally another brand new official expansion called The Rise of the Rajas came out just 5 days ago on December 19th 2016 (I haven't played it yet). That introduced the following four civilizations:
Burmese
Malay
Khmer
Vietnamese
So the original Age of Empires 2 from 1999 had 13 civilizations and those digits have reversed now because just 5 days ago the latest expansion increased the total amount of civilizations to 31.
From the 3 new expansion packs there are a total of 13 new civlizations. That's as many as in the original Age of Empires 2 now! That's 26 civs. Add on the original expansion, The Conquerors from back in 2000 and that's 31 civs
Anyways, as for the new expansion that just came out. I'll buy myself it for Xmas. It's only a few quid.
I'm as excited as fuck to play it. I only recently bought the HD ediiton and the other two new expansion packs!
How many games do you get that are almost 18 years old and new expansion packs are still coming out and people are still playing it online? And playing tournaments. For money. Hundreds of thousands of players.
It's playable online on Steam and they're still patching the game too. Patch 4.9 recently came out. The game is still even getting balance fixes as well as bug fixes.
I always thought Age of Empires 2 was the greatest game of all time and was super in love with it. I am in love with it even more now. It's just getting better and better. Nothing like AoE2.
