There's a slight chance I might move there, although it's more likely I'd keep home base in Canada and just travel more. It's definitely in the top three of "places I want to visit relatively soon." The other two are the northwestern US for August 21, 2017 (solar eclipse! w0ot!) and, for reasons even I don't yet understand, Chicago (I sense there's something or someone in the music scene there that I need to hear). Initially I developed an interest in the language because it dovetails nicely with my interest in pre-Christian Scandinavian culture (Modern Icelandic and Old Norse are very close). I am Norwegian on my mom's side. but Iceland was originally settled by Norwegians about 1200 years ago. When I was in elementary school, I also vaguely remember someone saying that we were related to Erik the Red and Leif Erikson, but I don't know if that's true. Icelandair sponsors some big music festival up there in RVK (or maybe it's in Seattle. KEXP.org co-sponsors it). Chicago, I dunno. I listen to a mix of old jazz, drone and indie. What do you like that Chicago might have?
