Yesterday on the bus, a young man told an older and rather rotund man that he dropped his keys. He was so anxious to pick them up that when he resurfaced, he thought another man had told him about the keys, and was thanking him and offering him reward money. The rest of us (including the man who had actually told him about the keys) laughed. It was really funny but he didn't realize his mistake and we got to our stop and everyone got off the bus. Amazingly the man who was offered the reward money refused (which is to be expected) and also played along while trying not to laugh. May sound like we're cruelly laughing at someone but really the man was over the moon about the keys he didn't realize what was happening, probably thought we were happy for him.

Lilly(9) and Jazz(5) are my little cousins. They're mom is in quite a bit of legal trouble, mom didn't specify but I can guess. And she wants me to take temporary custody of the girls.
Not to mention I still have to help with Shawn being in the hospital. I feel like crying. I stopped school to finish Braille and emotional adjust to being blind, but now I need to put everything on the back burner again just when I'm feeling healthy enough to go back. And course I'm not going to turn my family but I feel like saying "What about me?!" Shit! Now I am crying.

That's an awful lot of responsibility. If you do take custody does that mean you'll be in charged of taking care of them full time or would your mum be doing most of the work, seeing as she is the one who wants them? I second Jacob's advice, don't be a passenger in your own life. But I get that sometimes life throws tough shit at us and we have to put our lives on hold for others. I'm guessing there's no other alternatives?
