What's everyone up to right now?

I find it a bit distasteful when I hear fake chinese/cantonese accents (which I don't have, I'm just offended on behalf of "my people") but I personally find the indian accent to be hilarious. I even try to copy it but I always fail. It's like Karl Pilkington says, you can't help what you find funny. If a joke offends someone, it also made a lot of people happy.

I agree. It always goes against my grain whenever I hear what is generally held to be a 'British' accent (there's no such thing). Either we're all stuffy lords and ladies of the manor ("I say, dashed good show old bean, what? Haw haw hawwww!") or we're this guy...

For some peculiar reason it's one extreme or the other with no inbetween option, unless we're from obviously distinct regions - Sunderland, Scotland, Ireland, whatever.

Even in this country, my own native dialect is made out to be Brummie, instead of Black Country (BCD). Yes, there really is a difference. Wars have been fought over less.

As you say, a particularly well-done Indian accent (Michael Bates, Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers, The Simpsons' Apu) can be comedy gold. It's no coincidence that the first two of those names were actually born and raised in India. And it's one of the many voices I can pull off myself - mind, I get a lot of practice, but that's another story.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Just got home.

Have a little something to share from my experience with public transport today. Because it's winter, it's been slower than ever and a lot of people are making the the trip worse, which really starts to get on my nerve when I have to spend 1.5 hours at least, everyday, on a subway or on a public bus.

When the service is slow, EVERYONE is fed up. No need to take it out on others by doing the following:
a. start a fight with a stranger
b. smoke in close proximity with someone when the bus stop is getting very crowded
c. engage the one crazy dude in the train who's yelling at everyone so that now, on top of being annoyed, people also get scared and can't get out
d. push people out of the way so you can get to the door. The bus is full, just wait till we get to the stop and loudly indicate that you need to get out, we will get out of your way.
e. elbow someone to get on a bus first
f. let your kids cry their heads off
g. start complaining loudly

People are usually nice, but recently because the system has been so awful, it can take you literally twice as long to get anywhere, everyone is having a shitty attitude. And all the little things really add up when you've been on your feet, squeezed between smelly people (probably smelly yourself by this time), and carrying groceries for more than an hour.

Random thought from decades ago....
"If motherhood was advertised as a 'paid' form of employment, no one would take it"
As yet, I have not come across anything to refute this. :S
