I just finished doing a proof of the following statement:  A ∩ (B∩C^c)^c = [(A^c U B) ∩ (A^c U C^c)]^c, where, A, B, and C, are sets, ^c denotes the complement of a set, and U=union and ∩=intersection.  Note, when doing this proof, the standard approach of showing that two sets are equal by demonstrating that each set is a subset of the other set, was used for the proof.  Also, there was definitely a lot of rewriting statements into equivalent statements, which created nice opportunities to utilize DeMorgan's laws and the distributive laws for sets; thus, aiding the proof-writer in establishing the desired result.
