I'm trying to wrap my head around a mathematical proof.  IMO, doing this reminds me of Columbo scratching his head trying to logically piece together and explain how the criminal committed his or her crime.  Right now, I've just got too many loose ends and untied knots.  Well, maybe I'll get it or maybe I won't: I'm really eager to move onto the next section of my analysis book which looks pretty interesting.

Band practice in the morning. Ski lesson cancelled because weather was too cold (currently -29°C with wind chill of -39, and we haven't even hit the overnight low yet).

Took a nice, long afternoon nap under an electric blanket. When I finally coaxed myself out from under the nice warm place, I put on multiple layers of leggings and went out to a craft store for some paint. From there I went to my usual Saturday night bookstore / coffee shop hangout.

The rest of the time (part of the afternoon and then part of the evening, after I returned with the paint) I've been painting the dragon sculpture that lives in my kitchen. Most of the basic colour is now in place and I'm starting to do some detailing.

Listening to some music with really cheesy Houseish discoish style female vocals with corny lyrics.

It's REALLY not my sort of thing. I'm not a fan. But this particular one is rather pleasant:





Cheese aside. I happened across it and it sounds rather nice and melodic, IMO.

Practised clarinet for a while, installed a sheet of drywall, and am heading out to yet another concert this evening.  This one is a whole mob of clarinetists from Winnipeg, Brandon and possibly elsewhere, and my teacher is playing in this one.

(checks dates scrawled on various ticket envelopes tacked to bulletin board)  Finally starting to run out of events to attend between now and May -- All I've got left is three symphony, two ballet, and an evening with John Cleese.  We are *so* looking forward to that last one.   Big Grin
