Is Montana really pretty? I’ve heard it’s a beautiful place.
Culbertson is right at the eastern edge of the state, out on the plains. Doesn't look any different from ND where I'm staying. Flat land and far horizons. The mountain areas of Montana (about half the state, the western half) are really beautiful though.

We only get twelve kinds of fruit a month, apparently. Actually, I'm mainly just a cantaloupe and watermelon man. Maybe some Cuties. But what about veggies?

Watching the trailer for HBO's Fahrenheit 451:
Some Thoughts:
* Ramin Baharani does a damn good job of setting the dystopian tone of this world.
* Michael B. Jackson is good at portraying the more sympathetic aspects of Montag, but given, well, the name (German for "Monday") and the job, I cannot help but imagine Montag as being played by anyone who can't at least pass for an SS officer, and therefore, I cannot in good conscience co-sign with thinking Michael B. Jordan is right for the role. This is, to be honest, a minor gripe; given the fact that he played Killmonger, he could very well be intimidating, but perhaps not the type needed. At any rate, I have fewer misgivings about his casting than Ray Bradbury, who was something of a fossilized bigot in old age.
* I may be interpreting the scene incorrectly, but it looks like the conversation between Clarice and Montag is taking place between Montag and his AI. I could be wrong about this, and this is just his way of following up on the questions she posed and they're underutilizing one of the most important characters in the book. Also, why is the house AI not giving him the sanitized information that the totalitarian government should be giving him?
* The glimpses we get of the screens suggest they probably have lots of the information already in books, so what is even the point in destroying the physical books in the first place if it's not to destroy the information that they seem to already have anyway?
