Instigating a Cookie Riot in the front office at work (brought four different kinds of cookies including some experimental meringues made with strawberry-kiwi drink powder, and the espresso-flavoured shortbread that I made last night).

Up and ready to go rather early this morning. Because of the holiday, my worker who usually takes me grocery shopping Monday afternoons rescheduled for this morning. And the app which let's you schedule a pickup from your mailman has been down, so I get to spend the afternoon sitting around in the lobby of my building, waiting for the mailman. Yay.

Sitting in the lobby of my building, waiting for the mailman. I have a package that needs to go. outt. They have a thing where you can alert the mailman that you need him tto stop by your apartment during his normal delivery, but that was broken last night, so here I sit. Working on my tablet, but I'll probably just sit and twiddle my thumb while I'm waiting because what with my lacking fingers, typing on the tablet is a pain. I have to use a stylus because I'm not dexterous enough with my thumb, even on the larger sized tablet keyboard. Cell phone tablets are the worst. Fortunately or unfortunately, my cell phone is as close to useless as possible, so I rarely use it. It's only for dialing 911 if the power or internet is out.

Man, I've been rather timid about posting at any length in the past year, but something bit me today, in spite of thinking that I would procrastinate my replies until later. I let off a wall of text explaining to Drich why I disrespect him and such, and I posted at length in response to Neo, even though I had planned a short rebuttal. Neo, for whatever his faults may be, is often at least a worthwhile discussion. Drich and his ego, on the other hand, not so much.

Anyway, the mailman showed up earlier than usual today, so I didn't have to wait that long. What I'll do with the rest of the day is unknown. Maybe I'll spend some time pouring over fantasy football matters. We had our draft for players on Tuesday night, and I didn't do as well as I'd hoped. I didn't focus on drafting running backs as early in the draft as other people did, so I came up a bit short in that department. Oh well. It's my first time. Live and learn.

And we have football, real, not pre-season football on TV tonight. *rawr!* I'm so pumped for football this year. I haven't been nearly this involved in the sport before. It's taken on a life of its own!

Went to the dentist this evening and got the preliminary work done on a crown.

Came home and made spanakopita (using puff pastry for the top and bottom, rather than phyllo), ate a bunch of cookies, poured myself a snoot of Auchentoshan Three Wood whisky. Seriously considering a bubble bath.
