Hoping it's not what I suspect it is...

Just ignore any voices and remember: alien invasions are only a hollywood lie. MRI machines are not amplifiers for alien signal. Don't chuckle when the sounds begin to increase.

I hope your scan is clean

Many years ago, I bought an ornamental mill. It can be used for machining spirals onto long pieces of wood, for example. I had all kinds of plans for it, but as time went by and other plans superseded them, it fell into non-use. I packed all the component parts except for the stand today for shipment to a person who may actually use them. It's kind of funny, because I bought it about 8 years ago, assembled but unused, from a guy who had had it for 5 years and had never used it, either.

I'm using the stand for that machine to support a lathe that I bought 8 years ago from a guy who never even took it out of the packaging 22 years before that. I have yet to make a project on that lathe. So, it's been 30 years since it was purchased and the owners haven't made anything with it. I did let one of my friends use it last year, so I can't say that it has never been used. I've made many a project with the other machine tools that I have. Maybe it's time to get rid of the lathe, too. I can sell it and at least break even.

Beccs, being very serious here. Did you first notice something a little off with your precision surgery skills?

MiL fell yesterday and isn't able to stand by herself.  Sad I had to pick her up every time she had to pee, which was about every 20 minutes. She's 91. Got an ambulance ride to the e-room. We'll see what happens. My back hurts like a bitch; I shouldn't be lifting people.

Just got back from the psychiatrist. I was able to report a couple of good months after several years of nothing but bad. And a pleasant surprise, I don't have to switch psychiatrists after all! The letter I received telling me she was no longer covered by my insurance was in error. The office didn't get some paperwork in on time, and sent out letters telling everybody that she would no longer be covered. But once they realized the error, they declined to send out additional letters telling everyone that it was a false alarm. Harumph! Oh well, the important thing is that I get to keep my psychiatrist.
