Taking my cousin out on a driving lesson shortly. I don't like to say it but she's pretty hopeless... The last time we went out driving it ended up being like something off the Dukes of hazzard. She hit a hump back bridge doing about 30mph.
I'll keep my right hand on the handbrake this time Smile

Sympathies.  Teaching people to drive is the absolute worst.  Naturally, WE were perfect driving students, never causing out instructors a moment's unease.

Actual exchange  with my da:

'Ok, you're driving along and the motor starts making a sort of cracking/whistling/grinding noise.  What do you do?'

'Um...turn up the radio?'
