A couple of weeks ago my female quail died and the male has been squarking every 2 minutes, night and day, since then.
So my daughter and I just got back from the pet shop where we bought a female quail and two finches.
I let her take it out of the box and put it in the cage.
The male grabbed it by the back of the neck and fucked the shit out of it.
My daughter wanted to know why it was being so mean and I told her that that's how they say hello to strangers.
Anyway, we haven't heard a peep out of him since.

Good news, that book of Bellman came and it does have a translation of that song I posted a few days ago.

Bad news: it only has the first half of the first verse and all of the second.

That said, looking to see if anyone else had typed this out so I don't have to, I found this.
Not the same translation, and not even a singable one, but there's potential to make a singable version. Don't expect me to make it anytime soon, though. 
Well, at least one of Bellman's other famous songs has been translated in full.

I woke up over an hour earlier than usual this morning. I had coffee and fooled around on my PC for a while. Now I'm going back to bed to grab another 60 winks.

Listening to music and reading the forum. I need to go to the library today to pick up some items that I have on hold. I was going to have a Walmart order including a salad spinner shipped to me, but they're out of stock on a lot of the items, so that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Instead, I'll order the items for pickup at a far-flung Walmart store and go in person to pick them up. Unfortunately, they don't have a salad spinner, and they only give you a one hour window for pickup, so I'll have to plan my bus rides carefully, and likely show up early in case things don't go as planned.

The Walmart.com website is messed up, I think. It's hard to imagine them being out of stock of items for shipping that they have in store. And I just listed the reserve list for my shopping cart, and it showed an item as out of stock, a moment later I relisted the same things and they showed that there were 4 available. That's just fucked up.

Our big dog attacked one of the smaller ones yesterday, requiring a trip to the vet. She has the doggy equivalent of a black eye. She's getting steroid drops and opioids. I'm gonna cut her drug dose in half- she stands there like the world is spinning on a full dose. Anyway, my son built a dog run in the side yard. I went to check up on the big dog, and she had managed to get past her shoulders into the fence, which is a piece of ornamental iron. I had to go get the Come-A-Long® to pull the bars apart half way up, and then lift the dog to the gap to get her out. I then attached some heavy plastic lattice to the fence. Let's see her get through 1" square holes.

Dad's back to working on the Vaux amp, and he's managed to upgrade some of the hardware. We're still working on a way to integrate the Joyo AC-Tone into the amp, though. Also, he managed to find a 2" mailbox letters for the VAUX logo, but it's a bit too big and slim for the desired effect.

I just found a baby blue tongue lizard in my back yard and he's so cute.
I could even pick him up cause no teeth yet.
