'Coffee' spelt backwards is 'eeffoc'. People who know me understand that I don't give eeffoc before I've had my coffee.

I've been slowly but surely whipping my yard into submission.
Pretty much the entire yard is rough ground covered patchy weedy grass. It's a hot mess. I've been mowing with a manual push reel mower and recently a string trimmer. I've been looking for a good used mower because fuck paying $550 new for one that will handle the terrain.
We were in Lowes looking at something unrelated but I have a habit of looking for deals on things I know I'm going to need - like a new lawnmower. It just so happened that they had just put the display model of a Hasqvarna heavy duty all wheel drive mower on clearance for over 60% off. $219 out the door. Hell yeah.
Also my garage drywall and insulation project is just about done, finally. My handyman has just been too busy to finish it.

Kind of an anticlimactic aside really, but 9 months after his death, my father's estate is finally out of probate. My wife starts her new position on Monday, after being unable to work since late last summer.
Over the last couple of years, my wife and myself have faced numerous life challenges, more than our fair share. So many have reached conclusion now. I may still have a lot on my plate, but none of it was thrust upon me now, and that makes a difference to me.

About six months ago I filled a small concrete tray with sand, used a stick to make a rippled effect like the beach, meticulously placed hundreds of extremely small shells, rocks and driftwood to create a beach scene.
I then used a barbie doll's foot to create footprints like you see at the beach in the mornings.
Then I placed it in the middle of my dining room table and it was lovely.
So anyway, the cat just shit in it.
