What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Can't find my copy of Clarke's 'A Fall Of Moondust'. Clearly someone has broken in and stolen it.

She spent Friday before I went to work just sitting on the arm of a chair.  Wouldn't come for food or anything.

Then I couldn't find her when I got home.  Called her and searched but nothing.

Saturday morning, as soon as it was light enough, I went out and searched, finally finding her asleep in some bushes in the garden but she wouldn't come out.

I gave her some food and she ate a little but went back to sleep.  So I left her there but checked on her every couple of hours.

She ate some more food outside but, again, not much.

But she came running when I shook the treats and scoffed those.  Then she spent last night sleeping in the same spot again.

Now she's sitting on my knee purring like mad.

And I've worked out what was going on.

She was SULKING!

She jumped into bed with me late Thursday night and clawed my on the face so she got yelled at.

It's been so long since she sulked that I forgot tge pattern.

She sulks for two days!  Every time!

Serves you right.  When a cat opts to claw your face, you're supposed to sit quiet and act like you enjoy it.  Check the handbook.

If it's Clarke's, perhaps he took it back?

I didn't see any of the gobby bits that a zombie would normally drop, though.

Not, it's obviously the work of criminal masterminds bent on controlling the world via the theft of 20 year old ratty paperbacks.

And likely the types that would kill Kenny.

My cat has some great eccentricities.
If you put her somewhere she will not stay where you put her and if you try to replace her it is like she is being lowered into lava.
When she's hungry she meows at the front door, even though she can get in the back through the cat flap, which she uses regularly.
If I let her in but don't feed her, she takes off out the back and meows at the front door again.
When she sees me going to sit down she races over and jumps on the chair first and bristles when I try to push her off.
She gets jealous of the dog next door and when I pat it she circles us and then bites the dog on the leg.
The dog doesn't care, it love any attention at all.

Anyway, what am I up to right now?

That's bad for your circulation.

And it's a myth. You can't freeze your arse off no matter how hard you try.

My cat doesn't sulk.  He bitches, loudly, in that yowl that Siamese cats are known for.  I was just herded by him to his food bowl, with him fussing all the way, so he could show me that I had been slack in my duties and some of the bottom of the bowl was showing.  That's unacceptable.  He is often referred to as Mr. Bitchy.

One of my dogs is the sulky one.  The first vet trip I took him on as a puppy showed that side of him.  I put him next to me on the couch when we got home so I could comfort him after him being violated and vaccinated.  He stood up, peed on my leg, then marched to the opposite end of the couch and shoved his nose into the corner with his butt toward me.  He quit peeing on me but he can still turn on quite the effective, and obvious, sulk.

Birds are great sulkers too.
Unfortunately they can display their displeasure using actual words. :-)
