What's everyone up to right now?

Coffee, cold beverage, and morning pills.  I've got to go to the store to pick up a few items I missed yesterday, then football at 3:00 P.M.  I'm going to make a triple batch of chili tomorrow in my brand-new 10 Qt. Instant Pot.  I even bought fresh habanero peppers, but I don't know what to use in terms of quantity with them.

WOW - 10 qt!!!!  I am pretty sure mine is 6 and it makes a lot.

I have been playing with different settings for the same dishes on mine to see which works best.

As for the peppers...keep in mind you can add more but you can't take it out.  And I find any sort of spice enhanced with the Instant Pot.

Online sources tend to say one pepper per pound of meat, but that's without the seeds. I've also read that combining different peppers creates a more interesting heat. I think I may split the difference by sauteeing two habaneros with the veggies, but leave the seeds in, and then I'll add minced jalapenos and chipotle peppers to taste. I've also got a can of sliced jalapenos which I'll probably add, more for taste, as they don't add a lot of heat.

Habaneros always give me heartburn. I prefer jalapenos, ghosst peppers, or even just regular chili powder.

Working from home and getting a handle on the mayhem it entails. Restarted Discworld just recently with the Colour of Magic audiobook this time around - I still struggle keeping my attention on print books. Gradually finding myself drifting back towards the event horizon that is AF, lockdowns do funny things to one's online habits.

Psychologically recovering from the slow-motion trainwreck that was the 2020 US Election also.

I got fresh jalapenos at Aldi's but I couldn't find any cut okra. Cub's veggies must have been on sale last week because the shelves were empty at two stores. I bought a bag of whole okra which I'll thaw and cut in the morning. I'll test the new Instant Pot before I go to bed.

Nah, they were young girls dressed in 50's clothes from the opp shop by the look of 'em...
The food though was fantastic. Best savoury omelette I've ever had.

It's getting hot here now, it was hard work driving back to Hervey Bay with no air con in the old girl.
