So, yesterday, when Dad and I drilled a hole for a strap button on my Cigar Box Guitar, I noticed there were two problems: the first was the screw didn't fit in all the way due to its hitting something metallic. The second was that it was drilled in at ever so slight an angle. It was just noticeable if you were looking at it, but I had to look at it. So, we filled the hole with glue and a toothpick. And so, I decided to take a picture so I could figure out what the angle was.



Using basic trig, Irfanview's crop tool, and the inverse tangent function on my calculator, I figured out the exact angle: 5.65 degrees. Probably not noticeable for something as short as a strap button, but that can't be good for the guitar in the long term. And when Dad's okay, we'll try and get it back to less of an angle.

So, in anticipation of completing the uke, I decided to order a capo and a strap. Because the ones I ordered of each were available for cheaper at Sweetwater than anywhere else, I ordered from there. And, for whatever reason, they actually called me to tell me they were on the way and even asked me what I wanted it for. This is probably the first time I've ever ordered something online and gotten a phone call about it.

So, I’m currently watching Total Recall for the first time in donkeys and it’s legit shocking how much I forgot. I even forgot that they did the “red pill=reality” thing nine years before The Matrix did. At least I remembered the Martian with the three tits, but not that they have about five seconds total screen time.

Also, I’m currently working under the impression that everything past Arnold getting in the implant machine is part of the simulation, and the guy who offered him the red pill was telling the truth. This may change in the next 40 minutes.
