Watching the Hollywood Christmas Parade on TV. I've eaten supper and taken my pills, so it's all free time from here on out.

Also, a funny thing about the quest for the booster shot: I wore the same North Mississippi All-Stars T-shirt for my first two shots. I picked it randomly for my first shot, and, because it helped with a good conversation with the nurse who gave it to me, I wore it for the second dose. And knowing that I wore it the other two times, I decided to wear it again. This time, there was a small snag, namely that it was in the dryer (and due to a buildup of lint, it was still kinda damp). So, I decided to de-lint the dryer, start the dryer up again, make my lunch, and check to see if it's dry enough to wear. It was, I put it on, and I set out.

Shopping the Christmas game sales. I have a coupon for $10 off Epic games over $15. I already picked up Disco Elysium, and am looking to pick up Red Dead Redemption 2, even though my video card isn't adequate. I'm planning to upgrade that early next year. And I also plan to get Black Book, which is an RPG/card battler built around Slavic folklore. I love Slavic folklore. Still shopping, so that may change. I've got another card battler that I want to buy -- Across The Obelisk -- but it's not on sale, so I'm thinking of skipping a few sale items and saving the money for that the next time it goes on sale.

Just finished cooking up the cabbage for the week. This time made a hot pepper flavored batch.

Went to the Old Orchard Barnes and Noble, because its last day open before the lease runs out is Christmas Eve. It took 25 minutes, three almost complete go-arounds of the entire parking lot, and my car losing 2 MPG off its gas mileage before I found a space. Its inventory was dwindling, what with everything being 75% off (at this point, there were only about two shelves of DVDs and one of CDs, plus a couple of LPs.) I managed to get two books that were on my Christmas list (The Collected works of Breece D’J Pancake, and Adam Levin’s Bubblegum), plus the Graphic Novel Here.

Also, I’ve been having some big side effects from the booster shot I took yesterday. At some points, I had chills, at others, I was convinced I had a fever (at least until I took two thermometer tests and got squarely in the 98 Fahrenheit range both times), and also, some severe body aches and pains. There was some mild shortness of breath, but a puff or two of the inhaler took care of that. That said, the body aches and pains are back.

Reorganizing my chest freezer. I'm close to the bottom, but I'm taking a short break to let my hands warm up again. Handling all that frozen food without gloves makes them very cold.

I thought about baking bacon before. Do you cover it up? I'd dread having to clean the spatter out of the oven.

It actually doesn't splatter as much as it done in a pan on the stove top...either way, there will be cleanup.
