What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Doing my morning exercise. I've still got to do housework today. I don't want to do housework today.

Working on a new experiment in quilt layouts. Though it's not coming out perfectly lined up, it looks pretty cool. It's a practice run and I will refine the technique on the next one.

Looking at graphics cards and reviews and eBay prices. It doesn't look worth it to spend $600 on a Turing-based card rather than $450 on a GTX 1070 ti.

^ Holy crap. I didn't pay much more for my 1080Ti when they first came out 3 years ago!

(They are a little obsolete though) They're pcie-3. Now we're up to pcie-5.

Just finished dinner. Ribeye steak and air fryer Brussels sprouts tossed in Balsamic vinegar. Now it's time for bed.

Waking up caffeine deficient.

Walked the dog. Poop First mug of coffee is down the hatch, going for seconds. Coffee
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Bitterly cold today. It's supposed to warm up for a day on Saturday, but I don't want to break from my normal Friday plasma donation. Hopefully I won't regret that decision.

My ILS worker is still not feeling well, so I'll have a light day today otherwise, as I'm under no time pressures.

Bitter here also. On the van we've got tire(s) that keep going low due to either a slow leak, excessive cold or both. The sensor went off again yesterday so I need to run down to the station and air up again. Normally we can just drive to the tire retailer, when it gets cold they have air service and they'll check them all, but due to covid they don't have enough staff to provide that service. Gonna check the pressures in the garage first to limit my time out in that shit at the station.

I so don't miss that kind of weather! It's chilly here. Wind chill is currently 25 but it's not in the negative numbers. It was a bit brisk walking out to the mailbox, glad I have no other reason to leave the house today.

I can't say I have ever missed winters in the midwest. If we get it bad here, it lasts a few days at the most...not weeks and months.
