Organizing my movies and CDs. When I bought my first DVD player, I went right out to Blockbuster and bought two DVDs, Ray Harryhausen's Jason & the Argonauts and Kamikaze Girls. I've watched Jason & the Argonauts many times, but until tonight, I hadn't even opened the second. They apparently were a bit more paranoid back then. The self-adhesive plastic strip that they put on the top edge of discs to detect if the disc case has been opened or not -- this disc had one on the top edge, one on the bottom edge, and one on the side edge. They were going to make sure nobody engaged in any tom foolery.

And for some reason, I have two Disc Two's for the complete second season of Fringe. And I was a bit surprised that my Criterion copies of Rashomon and La Strada are both DVD instead of Bluray. I don't remember why I didn't buy them in Bluray. ISTR the Bluray of Rashomon is a significant improvement over the DVD. Actually, checking Amazon, Rashomon is a Bluray, it just isn't obvious from the disc or its packaging. I think La Strada may have been a gift from my sister.

On my way to Maplewood to donate plasma. I left at 2:30 and I won't get there until 5:30, basically twice as long as it usually takes. I waited an hour before satisficing on a different route than normal as three buses didn't show during that time. During the past week I waited for one of those buses coming back from Menards on two different nights this past week and neither showed. Nextrip is supposed to give current route estimates, but a lot of times now it just gives bullshit information. It's very frustrating.
