On my way home from donating plasma. I had a McDonald's gift card from Christmas so I stopped and got a cheesy jalapeno & bacon double quarter pounder and a McChicken and a lemonade slurpee.

Debating whether to get a tofu press. I like cooking with tofu, I just don't do it very often.

Not criticizing, mind you, but what is it about coffee shops that makes them conducive to writing? I ask only out of personal ignorance (I’ve never tried to write and I don’t go to coffee shops).

Mostly the "white noise" aspect - the background rumble from distant conversations.  They also smell good (people who don't like coffee might disagree), and a change of venue is a good way of getting out of a mental rut.

Republicans are starting to wake up to the fact that the whole 'Let's Go Brandon' thing has backfired spectacularly. The Biden campaign is raising millions with Dark Brandon merch.

The GOP also coined "Bidenomics" as a pejorative and now Biden is running on it.

Finally made a doctor's appointment that I have been putting off. Have had a GI issue for the last 5 months. Husband says if I get any smaller that one day he will wake up and all that will be left will be my shorts and T-shirt. I don't really want to know the answer as to what's wrong.

Having a hard seltzer. I just finished attaching a new wall-mount spice rack to the end of one of the shelving units in the pantry. After running errands with my ILS worker we didn't have time left over for much. I was behind the problem customer in both checkout and order pickup lines, so it took forever just to run a few errands. And they were practically out of wrapping paper at the dollar store, so I'll have to go to another store.

Accidentally managed to break a window in my house while trying to kill a fly. I spent an hour cleaning it (and the two minor wounds on my left hand that can be covered with a small band-aid) up. The fly, ironically, is still alive.
