We're still in the middle of a heat wave. It's bad enough that just going out to pick up a hold at the library feels like it got my body wrecked. The thermostat is at 76 Fahrenheit despite being set for 68. I hope to Hell things cool off enough for tomorrow's Classic Albums live concert at Ravinia.

We are at over 40 days with triple digit heat.  It's AAAWWWWFFFFUUUUULLLLLL!

We may be in the upper 90s next week for a few days then back up again.  

Any time I have to leave the house I plan for as early in the morning as possible.

It's 8 pm and still 80 degrees in the house with the AC, ceiling fans, and a floor fan going as hard as they can.

Had to contact my wireless carrier's support to explain a mystery charge on my bill. Turns out they've been charging for a support plan on a phone that I upgraded from (via them) late last year. They refused to issue a credit, of course. I was already salty with them, so as soon as I got off work, I signed with a competitor and fired them. Fuck 'em.

As you can probably guess, I tossed it right where it belongs once I finished cataloguing the novelty of it all.

Fuck, man, they don’t even try and convince you that Trump is somehow innocent. Granted, by this point, only a wizard could account for Trump not being a blatant criminal, and I don’t believe in wizards, but still, just a product plug?

Doing a little budgeting. I seem to be on track to get things more or less paid off by Christmas, but Paypal may not have distributed my payments correctly this month. We'll see. I talked to them in chat and wrote them a letter, but I won't find out if things are sorted until my monthly statement issues at the end of the first week of September. It's currently showing that they deducted $400 from a promotional balance which should only cost $25 a month as it's supposed to be spread over 24 monthly payments.

Youngest brother found a subsidized apartment, and moved out.   I'm now reconfiguring it for use as a conditioned space (AC and heat) for wood carving.

I was correct in my guess that the plasma center would be taking a blood sample soon. They took a sample today. I need to keep eating beans for a week in case they need to retest next week, but I should be in good shape. I ate five cups of beans yesterday, and I had three servings of oats that were supplemented with a scoop of protein powder this week.
