Yeesh.

In other news, it's been so many weeks since we had any rain that I let the dogs out a bit ago and it was sprinkling a bit.  Harley was scared and wanted back in.  She's not scared of much...guess she forgot about rain.  Silly animals.

You may not be able to tolerate much, but 1/3 can or whatever you can tolerate, of "EnsurePlus", in the smoothie, (whatever you can add, so you're not overwhelmed  by the taste ... ?vanilla ??? ) will add a lot of calories, if someone is trying to stabilize, or gain weight.

Cleaning out the motorhome after camping. We got invaded by ants. Time to fumigate.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I am using Ensure Complete vanilla right now and mixing some of the supposedly chocolate weight gain powder to it.  After playing around a bit I found that if I add a tablespoon of Ovaltine Chocolate Malt and fill the rest of the mixer with milk or almond milk, I can almost enjoy it.  Each one of these shakes ends up being 550+ calories.

Bananas weren't a hit but I may try again.

My poor doctor told me that she never has to help anyone with weight gain.  She and my cardiologist are used to people who could stand to lose...not me who has to present with the opposite issue.

Luckily the drinks aren't causing me any unpleasant issues...just waiting to see if it helps me gain.

Best of luck.
We had a patient who used Ensure-Plus instead of cream in her coffee.
Over a morning she got a can of it in, and didn't taste it much.

Spent the last few weeks on a musical rabbit hole: Doomer Music.

It's surprising how much just slowing down a song and adding a ton of reverb (plus a Vinyl plugin) can change its character. And, after looking through a bunch of Spotify Playlists (Specifically 54, plus four I couldn't extract anything from), I've managed to create a playlist of all the songs that appeared on five of those lists. The Cure was remarkably underrepresented, and zero Arcade Fire songs appeared on at least five playlists.

And here it is.

Here's the top two:

(This was on 15 playlists)

(Technically, the Smiths song tied with "Where is My Mind", since both appeared on 13 lists, but since it was apparently the first song to be given this treatment, I chose it)

Reading the official Pepsico announcement about my son's recent promotion to supervisor. Took 16 years to get there but it resulted in a 50% pay raise. I am very happy for him.

Did a little fine tuning of the Doomer Playlist I created after I somehow managed to extract one of the playlists I thought was unextractable. Creep, Wish You We’re Here, and a few other songs made it higher, and I even got to add two Radiohead songs, and one each by Mac DeMarco and The Cure.

Having a beer. Stella Artois. They make an NA version, so I grabbed a bottle of their regular beer at Trader Joe's for reference.
