Sure enjoyed the commute from the living room to my office today.
It's flippin' cold outside Little bit of snow, nothing drastic...but damn it's cold!

Cutting fabric and listening to a biography about Stevie Nicks. I have just made it to the part where she and Buckingham join Fleetwood Mac.

Got out for a hair cut, that seems to have stopped the cabin fever.

Same. Our high today is supposed to be 17F. I can't recall ever having a daytime high so low here before.
That warm, eh? Today's high will be a frigid -2. After nearly a week of single digit highs, some of them single digits below zero, we're finally moving back to "normal" winter temps, low 20s to mid 40s, mostly mid 30s.

Temperatures in the teens here are a once-in-decades event. We moved here in 1972, and I can't recall it ever being this cold.

Oh, I know. Back in the 80s, when I was still in high school, we had a couple years when the temps dropped well below freezing. I can't say for sure, but I seem to remember at least one spell where the temps stayed below 20 for a couple days. That was in Salem, and yes, it's a different kind of cold with the marine air than we get here in the dry air of Denver. I've often said I'll take 14 and snowing in Denver over 40 and raining in Portland. It feels warmer.
Still, it's fun to poke a little fun about it.

You're not kidding about the marine air, it chills to the bone, even well above freezing. I am absolutely ready to go back to Mexico.

Dad has managed to not only start work up again on one of our guitar projects, I think he managed to do the most difficult part: fitting in all the electronics without having to open up the guitar body.
And hopefully, this might mean the Richardsnary project might get up off the ground again.
