Sitting in a lab in the basement of Amgen biotech in Thousand Oaks Ca, configuring a computer to control a new Nuclear Magnetic Resonance instrument being delivered in a couple of weeks.
It's f'n freezing up in here!
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

There are lower basements there?

Watching TV, trying to gauge if the storms currently happening are "get in the basement"-worthy. At least it looks like the worst of it's going to be just north of us.
Edit: the turn it’s taking is bad enough that we’re currently in the basement.
Edit 2: It's over, as far as we can tell.

Rewatching some early episodes of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I finished my third playthrough of the series save for the last episode and am waiting for the right mood to watch it again. I've watched that final episode a bunch of times. It's one of my favorite episodes.

I picked up my new grill tonight. The grilling surface is larger than expected, but the whole grill fits where I'd planned to store it. It will just require more counter space to use.

Went to the new doctor...fully dressed I weighed in at 100 pounds. Good grief.
Of course the plan is to go with the most invasive and most expensive tests possible. I pushed back on that, hard. Will have some meds to pick up later and have to do some labs. Scheduled the procedure for two months from now just to get her off my back.
Why is cancer the go-to diagnosis before any tests are even run. My symptoms completely stopped for nearly six months then started again. Yeesh. She finally worked around to what I have been thinking...gall bladder is acting up or pancreas is. I am pretty sure cancer doesn't just come and go like flipping a switch.
