I have been alerted to the presence of the trash truck. EveryfuckingWednesdayforfuckingever. The dogs still seem surprised by it. Later today the recycle truck will be by and it will happen again.

Sirens went off, thunder storm warning, ETA 25min, no tornadoes but straight line winds ~65mph. Haven't heard about hail.

Radar indicates this is just the first wave. Yippee!

Nursing a head wound. It's now official that I am a danger to myself. I am always full of little bruises and cuts and often stab myself while sewing.

So, I was upstairs laying out a couple quilt tops on the floor of a bedroom we don't use for anything...we call it the room with a floor.

I picked up my stuff, stood up and hit my head on the corner of the dresser...hard! I walked downstairs with my stuff in one hand and checking for the size of the lump on my head with the other hand. I looked at that hand and it was covered in blood. Swell.

Husband immediately wants to go to the ER. I said no, I'll be fine. Head wounds always bleed like hell. So I got a cloth and wet it and held it to my head to at least get rid of enough blood so we could see how bad the cut is. It really did look like a lot of blood. My first thought was I am not sitting in an ER waiting room with a bunch of sick people and paying the copay unless we can see skull. Husband is still freaked out. I am thinking that I don't want them shaving a chunk of my hair in order to put in stitches. I thought about Superglue but wasn't going to turn husband loose on the top of my head with a tube of it.

Cut is about a half an inch long but other than the lump under it doesn't seem to be too bad now.

Husband suggested I order myself a helmet.

Estate planning.  Ugh, I hate this.

Yep, it sucks when you have to control some things for others benefit after you've croaked.

The challenge is I don't want to cut out one of my stepchildren but until he is willing to address his addiction issues and get some semblance of stability, it would be very irresponsible to give him access to a lot of money.
