Back from putting our spaniel mix, Maggie, down. The latest was not being able to stand up, on top of a list of other problems. She was supposedly 10, but the vet said she looked a lot older than that. 

That is often the right thing to do but it sure doesn't make it an easy thing to do.  I am sorry for your loss.

Thanks! She was such a sweet dog who had had some real trauma in her past, based on behavior. Her previous owners must've been real SOBs.   We got a Chihuahua/Jack Russel mix a couple of weeks back. The people who got rid of her tied her and 4 other dogs in a sack and left them at the pound. Two hours after the people came to work, she gave birth to 4 puppies. Then some time in durance vile until we adopted her, after her pups were weaned. Talk about skittish. She's doing better, now.

Watching football and trying not to let my anxiety get the better of me. I put the wrong date on some important housing-related documents, so the next month's rent is anybody's guess.

Doing my morning exercise. I was planning to make chili today, but I don't feel much like cooking. I suppose it will be easier to just keep going once I start.

Reading different recipes for Instant Pot chili. The recommended time to cook is all over the map. I settled on 20 minutes. This is a recipe that a healthcare worker taught me many moons ago. It was basically the first thing that I learned to cook. At the time I had been using pre-made seasoning packets and ending up with a lot of inedible chili.

Switching the Instant Pot to slow cook. I worry about everything these days.

Lots and lots of ironing...part of the quilting process. Currently ironing three different sets of pieces parts so that I can do more pinning and sewing when the mood strikes.
