It's interesting, a number of businesses were torched, and some patterns were obvious, they hit dozens of state owned banks, and corporate run convenience stores and at least one large corporate pharmacy. At least one of our neighborhood Oxxo stores was burned completely. SO FAR it appears the goal is to make a big statement without bloodshed..... But inevitably power struggles in the fractured leadership are going to lead to something...what exactly is anyone's guess.

Yeah, there’s going to be someone new to fill in the gaps before long.
Once again, Battle of Algiers. If you haven’t watched it, do so now.
I know I keep bringing this movie up, but as long as history keeps repeating itself, it’s going to keep being relevant. Especially if Trump decides to step in.

Indeed. It's really a question of how much infighting there is going to be between various factions before things stabilize and how many of El Mancho's capos get taken out in the following months.

Is there any particular reason for this refusal?

Made it out to St. Louis Park to get my computer part. Heading to pick up something else, but the bus is running late.

Back from the store. Aldi was on the way home from Micro Center, so I decided to do my Tuesday grocery shopping then. And I just picked up more computer junk at an Amazon locker and bought some pasta sauce.

Woke up feeling like death warmed over. Took some cough medicine. Noted the bottom of my computer screen was blinking. Changed the refresh rate and fixed that. Figured out where an extra piece to the heatsink I removed goes.

Can’t really comment on the ‘puter stuff (it’s all Linear A to me), but I hope you feel better soon.

I just spent $10 ordering a CPU to swap in for a CPU that I think might be broken. After watching this video, it occurs to me that I didn't first just fix the cooling problems with it and see if it works. I had neglected to maintain the system, so the CPU cooler was so caked with dust that the cooler wasn't getting any airflow. In hindsight, that might have been all that was wrong with it. I could ask the Ebay seller to cancel my order, but fuckit. It might have been unnecessary. For $10, I'm not going to worry about it.
