Yep. It's a shame that Jack Warner was so intent on trying to maximise the profits for a film that should have already been super-profitable anyway that he insisted on recasting someone who didn't need to be recast. 

He would have even recast Rex Harrison if more bankable actors didn't refuse out of solidarity with him.

Warner’s reasoning appears to have been that Andrews wasn’t bankable because she had never before appeared in a motion picture. He must have felt a right charlie when her first film the same year (Mary Poppins) grossed 20 times its budget. How THAT for bankable, Jack?

Well, technically, she had actually appeared in a film prior. It was a voice acting role, and it was in the English dub of an extremely obscure Italian animated film.





But, of course, nobody remembered that. And nobody would remember that if she hadn’t proven herself to be an extremely talented actress and singer.

Fucking bogus. At the end of April, my Amazon Store Card kicked out a statement that said I owed $45. That was the amount of my promotional, interest-free balances. There was a $50 non-promotional balance which I'm now told that I needed to manually add to what the statement said I owed to get the amount I should have paid. As a result, I didn't pay what they say I owed, even though the statement showed a different amount was owed (which was paid). That's fucking stupid.

Some prehistoric butterfly got saved from certain death somewhere because the doctor suddenly got an opening next Thursday at 8 AM. While it is technically the ass crack of dawn for me, at least I’m not going to wait two months for a scrip anymore. Granted, it’s not enough that I won’t need to ration my remaining Modafinil supply, but at least I’m getting somewhere soon.

I finally went to the doctor today. The transfer of the scrips went without a hitch. The closest thing to one is that I also had to get a tetanus shot. At least I'm not going to develop lockjaw or night vision for a few years.
