What's everyone up to right now?

Zen is home from his "dirty weekend away with the "Strumpet" and I am posting updates on "All things Green and Dirty"
Marinated Lamb steaks for dinner I think ![]() "The Universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements: energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest." G'Kar-B5
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Just getting up and checking my Facebook.
"For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring." - Carl Sagan
Just sent out a PM to "writer". Cinjin made me do it. If you don't hear from me in a few hours, I've been taken! You may congratulate me later.
![]() Also, reading some stuff. While I munch on some teddy bear graham cookies.
Pointing around: "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you, I'm out!"

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Drinking coffee. Just finished reading an essay on Kant's arguments for the existence of God while waiting for the mailman to arrive. In reading the essay I learned a new, fatal objection to the fine-tuning /design argument that's simple enough that even a Christian can understand it. My "Does God Exist?" meetup group will be discussing this argument at the next meeting, and the group is organized / hosted by an evangelical minister, so I'd really like to go. Unfortunately, I've yet to figure out transportation to get there and back (it's way out in a northwestern suburb). One of my friends who lives south of the city is signed up, so if all else fails, I can probably get a lift to the nearest bus stop from her. *crosses-fingers* ![]()
I am currently laid up in bed with a stomach bug. I have heartburn that doesn't respond to any medicine, on-and-off nausea, and a stomachache. I feel desperate for food, but cannot eat as much as a slice of bread without feeling like I'm pushing myself to the limit. But at least I haven't thrown up.
