Cool.
Could you start a thread and tell us about her process? How religious was she? Did she say what finally caused her to adopt the label?

Apparently, according to my mother, it's my fault my brother became an atheist.
Two tours in Afghanistan where he saw what religion can do to a society had nothing to do with it . . .

Not going to post a thread on personal issues, I'll just spit it right here - She is 40 and has been religious since maybe 12, 13 or 14, but out of her own will, my grandma is very religious but my grandfather was a type of deist, he didn't like priests or churches much - She was the kind of European Christian, not hardcore, she didn't go to church much and read the bible once in a while - Now she says she doesn't believe in god and is getting used to it, she is also pro gay marriage and gay rights, how cool is that...

was she anti-those-things before? That's great news if she was!
Anyway, good luck to her on her new adventures being an atheist!

Watching The Great British Bake Off. I love this show.
"Yes, I am a Free Lover. I have an inalienable, constitutional and natural right to love whom I may, to love as long or as short a period as I can; to change that love every day if I please, and with that right neither you nor any law you can frame have any right to interfere. And I have the further right to demand a free and unrestricted exercise of that right, and it is your duty not only to accord it, but as a community, to see I am protected in it. I trust that I am fully understood, for I mean just that, and nothing else."
— Victoria Woodhull, “And the truth shall make you free,” a speech on the principles of social freedom, 1871
